My first chapbook Empowerthy is now available on Lulu.com! I’m so excited and pleased with how it’s turned out. The theme is empowerment and empathy, with poems about my experience as a cancer survivor with Lynch syndrome. There are a lot of poems I hope will resonate with others, and I hope some uplifting ones too!

Part of the profits will be donated to Lynch Syndrome UK.

I love how the friend I mentioned in the latest post basically answered the poem I had written in my previous post. <3

the amount in which I miss you
is matched only by how ridiculous
it is that I miss you
and the certainty I hold that
it doesn’t bother you

your distraction turned into the nightmare you’d been running from

(and I’m sorry for that.)

Today I am very unconvincing.
Pretending to be happy is
too exhausting to contemplate
when I’ve spent all week being
put in my place.
It is too hard to answer questions like
what is left
who is left
I’m not so sure now.
I got it wrong somehow.
